photo watermark remover

To remove a visible watermark from a photo or image you own or are authorized to edit, paint over the mark by hand. This browser tool reconstructs the selected pixels from nearby image texture and downloads a PNG; it does not automatically detect watermarks or recover the hidden original.

Manual mask · Local browser processing · No login

Input: one JPG, PNG, or WebP image uploaded from your device; maximum 20 MB.

Output: a downloadable PNG. It keeps the decoded image's pixel width and height; the input format and file size are not preserved.

Method: you paint the area manually; local JavaScript reconstructs masked pixels from nearby texture. Results can contain visible artifacts.

Account and batch: no login; one image per run, with no multi-file batch processing.

Dimension check: the synthetic test image was 640×480 in and the downloaded PNG was 640×480. This confirms pixel dimensions for that test; it does not promise a clean reconstruction.

Your image stays on this device. If you searched for “ai remove watermark,” you still paint the mask yourself; processing uses local JavaScript only.

Batch queues are not available: each image needs its own painted mask before local inpainting. For a “free ai watermark remover” search, this tool still handles one image per run; paint a separate mask for each file.

Paint only over the watermark. Use Erase mask to correct the edges.

Best for small text or marks surrounded by repeatable texture. Large masks, faces, hard geometric edges and unique objects may show visible reconstruction artifacts.

How the image watermark remover works

Choose one supported image, select Paint mask, and brush over only the visible watermark pixels. Run local inpainting, compare the result with the original, and download the PNG if the repaired area is acceptable.

The editor does not use an AI watermark detector. It applies an exemplar-based texture reconstruction routine to the pixels under the mask, using nearby unmasked detail as a reference. The reconstructed area is an approximation: the tool cannot reveal the original pixels hidden by a watermark.

To remove a watermark from a photo or picture, select one supported file and paint over the mark yourself. The same workflow applies to other image files; review the reconstructed PNG because hidden pixels cannot be recovered exactly.

Formats, dimensions, and processing limits

  • Input: one JPG/JPEG, PNG, or WebP image at a time; the file picker and processing code enforce a maximum of 20 MB per image.
  • Output: PNG download. The canvas is created at the decoded input image's pixel width and height, then exported as PNG. The output file size may differ, and JPEG/WebP encoding is not retained.
  • Resolution: a real synthetic test preserved 640×480 pixels from input to output. The implementation uses the decoded image dimensions for the canvas; it does not offer a resolution selector.
  • Processing: the selected image is read and reconstructed in this browser. Site analytics or other separately loaded services are not covered by that processing statement.
  • Login: not required. Batch processing: not available; each image requires its own manually painted mask and run.

Check the reconstructed image before keeping it

A mask that is too broad can remove nearby edges or texture. Faces, unique patterns, hard boundaries, and large watermarks may leave visible marks. In the sample run, the output retained the input's pixel dimensions, but small red remnants remained around the synthetic mark. Review the full image and the close-up before using the downloaded file.

Frequently asked questions

Does this image watermark remover keep the original resolution?

The downloaded PNG uses the decoded input image's pixel width and height. A synthetic 640×480 test produced a 640×480 PNG. This refers to pixel dimensions, not the original file format, byte size, or visual quality.

Which image formats can I upload?

The tool accepts JPG/JPEG, PNG, and WebP images. Other formats are not accepted by the file picker and processing check.

What format does the result download as?

The edited image downloads as PNG, regardless of whether the supported input was JPG, PNG, or WebP.

Can I process more than one image at a time?

No. This tool handles one image per run because each image needs a separately painted mask.

Do I need to sign in?

No login is required to use the image editor.

Will the watermark disappear perfectly?

That is not guaranteed. The tool reconstructs selected pixels from nearby texture, so edges, faces, unique patterns, large masks, or residual marks may remain visible.
